Supportive Permanent Housing

North Star recognizes that lack of affordable housing is the largest contributor to family homelessness in our community. Our goal is to address this issue by creating supportive permanent housing for families impacted by homelessness.

• North Star conducted a seven-year campaign to raise funds, purchase land, gain approvals, and obtain qualified partners to build Journey Home.
• Journey Home is a 15-unit supportive, permanent, affordable apartment complex that was constructed on Marcello Avenue in Leominster.
• Residents were chosen by lottery and moved in the summer of 2025.
• Staff is onsite to provide support to help residents maintain stability.
• North Star is seeking future projects to create more supportive permanent housing for our region.
