Intensive Case Management
- Every family is assigned a case manager when admitted to the shelter. Families can expect to meet for a formal case management meeting on a weekly basis to discuss any barriers to permanent housing.
- Common challenges are daycare, transportation, building a family budget, learning to save money, employment, insurance, referrals for medical, mental health, substance abuse, getting school age children enrolled in school, parenting issues and legal/court issues.
- Families can expect that all staff in the shelter will be involved in monitoring and assisting each family with their daily needs.
